Plot Summary:Twenty years after being evacuated to America, Paul Mathry returns to Liverpool for a short visit. He is shocked to find that his father, whom he believed had died a war hero, is in fact in jail for a murder committed at the time Paul left. Starting to piece those events together, he comes to suspect his father may be innocent.
